PROTO MODEL J298, Multifunction wire strippers remove insulation and perform other actions such as crimping, cutting, and looping. Sharp-edged slots in the jaws match specific electrical wire gauges to remove insulation. Also known as wire stripper pliers, they hold wire within a slot, squeeze their jaws to press through the insulation, and slide the insulation off the end of the wire.
