ARC ONE MODEL 54D215, Electrochemical weld-cleaning systems use electrical current and electrolytic fluids to remove heat tint and mark and etch stainless steel and aluminum. Heat tint results from the high heat required to weld stainless steel and affects appearance and corrosion resistance. Cleaning the weld area removes heat tint and other surface contaminants to improve appearance and allow passivation to occur, which restores corrosion resistance.
