Description

IMPERIAL MODEL 275-FS, Flaring and swaging kits include a hand-operated tool with attachments to flare and swage tubing. Flaring creates a funnel-shaped end (flare) that forms a tight joint with a flared tube fitting, eliminating the need for brazing or soldering. Flares are commonly used to connect refrigerant tubing on mini-split line sets. Swaging enlarges the end of a tube so it slides over tubing of the same diameter to join two lengths without using fittings. The connection is then brazed to form a permanent joint.
