POLYCO MODEL 49555, These boot and shoe covers protect workers and footwear from hazardous dry particulates and moderate-chemical splash and spray. Dry particulates are larger in size than aerosols and include dust and dirt. Garments that provide moderate-chemical splash and spray protect against a range of organic and inorganic acids and bases, solvents, and salts found in industrial cleaning applications. They have higher breakthrough times and protect against more chemicals than garments for light-chemical splash and spray. They are worn when working with liquids under pressure in industrial cleaning applications such as caustic clean down and decontamination. Shoe and boot covers are worn over personal footwear to protect surfaces from contaminants and to protect footwear from incidental contact with hazardous and non-hazardous substances.
