PROTO MODEL J4275, Slide hammer jaw pullers consist of a claw that grips onto the parts being pulled and a slide bar with a weight that slams back along the bar to create the pulling force for removing the parts. Their jaws should have enough reach to grip the base of the part being pulled and enough spread to accommodate the width of the part. Heavier hammer weights generate more impact energy to increase pulling force.
