LINCOLN ELECTRIC MODEL K3930-1, Lincoln Electric Viking 3350 welding PAPR (powered air-purifying respirator) systems provide breathable air and protect the face and eyes during welding operations. The helmet has an auto-darkening liquid crystal display (LCD) that protects workers' vision and filters color so workers can see weld lines more clearly. Auto-darkening can be turned off for grinding tasks. PAPRs have a belt-mounted blower unit that passes ambient air through a filter before sending it to the headgear. They allow workers to move freely and unrestricted because the filter and power source are worn on the body. Welding PAPRs are used for a range of applications, including MIG and TIG welding, plasma cutting, and grinding.
