Description

OTC MODEL 1046, External-grip pullers fit their jaws around a component to pull it from the outside. They are used for bearings and other parts that are mounted on a shaft. Also known as floating jaw pullers, their jaws float to assist with centering the puller on the shaft. They are less bulky to fit into tighter spots than caged-jaw pullers, but their floating jaws may slip off unless they are locked or secured in place.
