GREENLEE MODEL G3, Cable pullers generate strong pulling force to draw building wire, datacom cable, and other large-diameter cable through conduit. Also known as cable tuggers, their motorized capstan turns a pulling rope that's been fed through conduit and attached to cable at the other end. They require a pulling rope with a capacity that matches or exceeds the puller's maximum pulling force. The cable weight, conduit length, and number of bends (legs) in the run are factors to consider when selecting a cable puller to provide the necessary pulling force.
