DAYTON MODEL 4C108, High-pressure direct-drive blowers feature a blower wheel and housing that is designed to push air or particles through long, restrictive airways that would induce higher static pressures. Direct-drive blowers without drive do not come with a drive motor, so the user must provide their own to utilize this blower. Their blower wheels are mounted directly onto the motor shaft which reduces friction and improves efficiency compared to a belt-drive fan. Direct-drive fans have fewer moving parts and typically require less maintenance than belt-drive fans.
