FRIEDRICH MODEL PDH09R3SG, These packaged terminal air conditioners (PTACs) have a heat pump for reversible operation to switch between cooling and heating for year-round climate control. Their heat pump uses less energy for heating than electrical heat when outdoor temperatures stay above freezing, making them ideal for climates with mild winters. Also called packaged terminal heat pumps (PTHPs), they have an auxiliary electric heater for heating on days when temperatures fall below freezing.
